This project was a development informed by my previous research Place of Solace, on how people engaged with public green space during the pandemic. The project ran as part of Invisible Cities; an initiative run in association with Selfridges and artist Usman Yousefzadar. Participants were asked to write on a postcard the answer to the question "Where was a place of comfort to you during lockdown?" A map of Birmingham was used as a stimulus and for participants to colour in, or circle, to highlight the area they chose.

'Birmingham Beermats', photographic work exhibited at  Invisible Cities.

My work 'Birmingham Beermats' was also displayed at the event, which encouraged viewers to see if they could identify parts of the city from upward-looking shots; highlighting the rich diversity of Birmingham's architecture and history. The original idea of the images being printed on beermats was to create something viewers could potentially take with them, from a venue, around the city, where they could reproduce the images shown themselves on social media.
